WHAT TO DO ?

Having been almost completely destroyed in World War II, Hannover looks very different from other European Cities. One of the city's favourite activities is to visit the shopping area, Kröpcke. With the baroque style Herrenhauser Gardens, the Marienburg Castle and nearly 10 museums, Hannover promises (and delivers) an excellent trip. Sitting on the shores of the Leine River, this town is known as "fair city". Built on a flat plain, the city is a pleasure for cycling. Do not miss the Lake Maschsee Festival if you are in town in August.
